Let the robot do the work.

Medical sector. This time, instead of a clinic, it's a hospital with more than 100 employees. They already had the processes, the accounting system, the workflows, etc. in place. The main problem was the patients, who didn't turn up. If a patient does not turn up for a procedure, it is a big loss not only for the hospital, but also other patients. There are many procedures with huge queues, so hospitals should be able to to replace a patient if they are not going to come. That is why we have introduced a reminder system based on based on speech synthesis.

The system calls the patient's mobile phone and plays a synthesised voice message asking if they the patient plans to attend the scheduled appointment. The patient can then use the phone's numeric keypad to confirm or cancel the scheduled appointment. They also have the option to contact a human operator, to reschedule. The system ensures that every customer is contacted and that human errors are prevented. It also reduces the burden on telephone operators, so they have more time for meetings or other more complex tasks.
